Liz R.'s kid-terpretation

Working with all the children in Pisco was beyond a blessing! From first going to the school and getting greeted by children of all ages singing and signs of thanks for going, to that heart wrenching "adios" of the children in the refugee camp, Pisco was priceless!
Some precious moments from the Ebenezer school:
- The Group asked a little girl what her name was, she would not respond and when another little boy told us what it was she proceeded to get up. Then walked over to the little boy and smacked him with her pencil case. Abagail was certainly something!
- With Kathy leading a resounding version of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes! Eventually, but wonderfully it has been changed forever in my heart as Head, Shoulders, Cheese and Corn. Not sure how this got started but it is a fond memory anyway!
- Kate and I took many pictures with the children at the refugee camp because they all loved our Blond hair!
-While being at the refugee camp I saw an adorable baby who was very small, pale and seemed to have little spots on her face, she was so precious. The parents then asked me to be the Godmother! What an honor!

The Lord was wonderful to us while we were in Peru! I was touched beyond words and hope to return again to work with children either in Pisco or Lima!

JP's favorite musical moments in Peru

1) Kathy singing "How Great Thou Art" at Pastor Samuel's church on that first Sunday night with Risa on guitar and Liz on violin. Everyone singing the same hymn in their own language (Thank you, Carlos, for sharing the video).
2) Liz playing the "Meditation" from Thais unaccompanied at the start of our communion service.
3) At Iglesia Cristiana Evangelica's Sunday evening service with Julie's and John's impromptu a capella gospel versions of "Amazing Grace" (after getting poked in the back by Joyce) and "This Little Light of Mine," inspired by Kurtis and complete with blinking, waving flashlights.
4) Anytime the team sang together.
